Just got back from a gun show....

I am looking at a stag model 2t 223...At the gun show they were asking 1800$.....my gun shop is asking 1200$ otd

my gun shop "guy" reckons i should get two --one in 308 and one in 223, does anyone have an opinion?....or perhaps a totally different Ar ?

I like the colt 6920 but cannot buy them in "commy" california.....

My road trip to vermont etc begins anyday, .....can i buy what i like ... say in vermont even though i am a resident in california?...(store the guns etc until i shift to vermont...?)

windrunners guns ?anyone have any knowledge regarding them?

I am still in California so limited as to selection.

At the Gun show People were talking about Obama and gun confiscations and regulations everywhere--i detected an almost "panic "situation..alot of people looking but very few with any money...sellers were offering layaway etc!!....california is full of dead heads,people ask all the time "what state are you from?"(i have a strong kiwi acent!)I tell them "i'm from the deep South"--they look at you like a deer caught in the headlights.....anyway many dealers were very arrogant and telling people Ar's etc will be over 3 grand in 6 mths time-stags etc..(they may be correct but their "attitude" to me is reflective of a nation with no morals and little decency)...Barrett rec 7 's were asking 4500 at the show...

I like the Steyr Aug, have to see if they are available in california....

Yeah at the show s & w Ar's were asking 1800 as well...and the vendors were being extremely arrogant saying "they will be 3 grand soon"& if you dont like it well -go elsewhere! (alot of macho "want to be" Arseholes)maybe thats just the california Air taking affect?!...
I did not see alot of money changing hands and i was there for 3 hrs..

my gun shop "guy" tells me that he will get me a stag in 308 but he said the recoil is pretty severe....any solutions?



so would you guys get two stags?--one in 223 and the other 308 or go with another brand?

The stag 6L what are the specs of that gun?

hey wild card 915 ..where & when did you buy yours?

maybe I should stock up on these,,,they may be better than Gold....

Thanks techguy....as far as Accurate long distance rifles go is the 338 lapua a good choice?..i have looked at the savage,the Rem 700....but want a rifle with real reach out to 1600 yrds and even out to a mile and a half....

I have my weatherby 300 ,but that is more of a hunting rife....i am looking for something that is extremely acuarate with hitting power...someone i was talking with at the gun show mentioned 50 bmg(apparently alot cheaper cartridge wise than 416....but what about balistics comparison to 338?

I was also looking at scopes ..was looking at US optics..?

So after the acusition of
an Ak and and AR
couple of handguns in 9mm and 45
A lever action (which i am still deciding on -Marlin probally )
and i need a competion rifle 338 lapua or 50 bmg

what else is needed?

my shotgun is in NZ so i will need another,but I like timber stocks.

Reloading gear....I find it an utter pain in the Arse tryying to get information or anything in California!!!!
where is a one stop shop for ammo guns reloading gear at prices where you do not have to deal with "know all" Arses with only attitude and rip off prices who actually know hardly anything about their "speciality"?

I just want to deal with a straight up gun dealer who has knowledge ,no attitude and wants repeat business,afterall I am not the average yokle coming in buying one gun and a packet of bullets and a burger to go....(not that ,that should matter!!).....i am venting and am soooo sick of rip off Arseholes who talk out of the side of their mouths and have liitle if any knowledge on any subject in gun shops and actually almost everywhere!!!....
I have to say Americans on the whole have become an utter disgrace (and my fellow kiwis are the same--get along go along rip you off braindeads with no pride in their workman ship ,just pieces of human waste.....

5 dollars a piece!..yeah ouch! alright....

I would reload....but we are still are living through the last "gasps" of the buy "do not want to make" culture....i guess the next big "run" may be on reloaders....maybe i should get a few of my staff busy making guns ammo and relaoding equipment!!

Thanks Caligula..... yeah 308..seems it comes back to the basics as per usual......what do the Un cops that will be patrolling the streets use?....might pay to have guns that take the same caliber....

well i looked out the window here in california an hour ago and the fires are raging....i cannot help but think of what is most probally coming in the next couple of years here...fires?....riots...with all these morons in califonia that have a gun and a pocket of ammo and couldn't hit the side of a barn with a shovel full of shit...I for one will not be hanging around when the riots break out ....at least not in California....

You are very much correct the days of cheap ammo are gone FOR GOOD... just like cheap silver.

Seriously TJ if you have resourses that can dedicated to that endeavor I would do so in a heart beat.

The person that reload or even cast bullets will be beyond golden and can set THERE OWN PRICE in the days to come.
